A note about indecisiveness...
I'm sitting here listening to Bon Iver, looking at the snow storm outside (yepp Sweden, we got some snow going on over here too today), chatting with my sister, trying to figure out where I should go with this blog of mine, trying to imagine and hope that Miami next month is going to heat up my joints.
I wrote to darling Shantell the other day, telling her that I feel as if I'm in my little bubble and that I have a hard time stepping out of it. Trying to decide what to do about that ...or how to accomplish something 'good' from my indecisiveness. Guess it's my Lutheran upbringing... shining bright and true... 'it's better to do something, than nothing', 'a person that stand still or who's thought-process is not active is not doing what they are supposed to do'. Usch...let's not talk about that today it makes me tired.
How are you? what are you up to? I missed you : ) I know my blogification has slowed down but...I do still miss you. I think I'm going to see the doc: 'Beautiful Losers' again today. That doc always makes me feel good, that creating things yourself...even the crummiest duddle is better for the universe than buying something manufactured, or going to some school where people tell you what to think or do. I like that. More power to creativity flowing from within ! Somehow blogging today feels like I'm confessing something...admitting something.

Yesterday Halina came by for dinner, some wine and a chill out. Then we conquered the 'blizzard' and headed down to the LES for a join the Swede-gathering @ the SwedeBeat party. Lately it seems like I'm the slowest person on the planet when it comes to music from Sweden...don't know why it's become like that ... I guess seclusion does that to you. Friday's Brklyn adventures...
Bonjour. Friday I went for a back-crack-a-lacking, tried to get some compturising done at home...but that didn't happen. In the evening after melting and saucing around in the apartment as a sloppy gravy.... Brooklyn! for the Metrosonic release party @ Little Fields. I had to use 2 different cameras...because I wasn't brilliant enough to bring a bigger memory camera to the usual one. So I'm going to upload them in two posts. Bill Withers is still the dude...
Last Thursday me and Scribe went down to IFC to check out the new documentary about Bill Withers (the man who wrote 'ain't no sunshine' ). It's called 'Still Bill'. I fell in love with his character within a couple of minutes....I didn't know he was so likeable! an ordinary man with his head connected to his neck,shoulders and body. Did you know that he actually started with music when he was 32???!!! all those amazing tunes....insane...After the movie he was there in person for a Q&A session. A guy asked him what he thought of Lady Gaga and his response was that today he is a senior citizen, old enough to be the guy's grandfather, and if he had to be honest...don't even know who she is....but where going to look into it since every Q&A his given... that question has been asked.... Gooooooood morning! How you been this last month. I've been 'inverting'. Now I'm back. While I've been in my little bubble this beginning of the 2010 I've listened really much to Charlotte Gainsbourg's - 'Greenwich Mean Time' (From her new Beck produced album IRM) So have a listen and let the blogging begin.
