gig, dance and nice news
June, a nice month. It's been raining cats and dogs over here. But some days we had it really nice and warm.

So what the custard am I going to write and you read about.

1. Had a gig the 29th at the club : Oh, Baby I like it raw!- Oh, baby I like it raw
Enjoyed it very much, they really lifted the roof with the music and the clubbers were excellent at stomping the floor with dancing.

2.
The day after (yesterday) I was tiiiiiiiiired....but still ended up to go out dancing.lol

A Newstime now:

Midsummer

Ok cooolish,
Summer has finally arrived to Malmoe and Sweden. Up north where my father comes from the sun is setting and rising really quick in the middle of the night...hm...maybe20 min at longest
When my West Indian family came for my parents wedding they sat up all night, getting really tierd waiting for the sun to set. 2 am my father came out and asked my grandma : what's up? what is going on? She explained and then my father answered that the sun already set and came up....big confusion. lol

Summer over here is B E A U T I FUL. We went to the Hulstfredfestival in the deepest bush of Sweden. Me, Cat, Yohan and Dj Xi. I did some performing but the highlight was to met the Papas from the Jazz crew that came for a visit.

Me on stage:

The day after hahaha.

We linked up with some really funny and wonderful people after the gig.

Then I headed up to elStockholmo to entertain the Papas, see my brother & sis

My sister Streta

and to hang some more with Tafra. I also met Linnea his magical girlfriend and Surburan Pete and Mr Mat

Tafra and Mr Mat

Surban Pete.

And Friday midsummer came. We had to split up the gang :( but it turned out nice anyways. Me and the Cat sat at home and looked and laughed at the tv. And yesterday...somehow...I hit a club around my Paris wheel. It was really nice. Djman and Djgirl really made my night by playing some really sweet grooves.
to sum it up. The night was beautiful and I ended up going to the beach at 5- 6ish for a swim (after a lot of doubt ).

Peaceeeee

LOL!
oK, COOL :)

Haven't written in a sec ( as always) so this is a sum up of what's been going on lately.

1. I lost my glasses!!!I was out did a huge move, talking about something...just trying to make a statement, swung my arm and in a wink they where gone...the horrible is... I can't find a pair of new ones...not even simular.

2. Did a photo shoot for a site called rookie.nu, 5-4 days before...my eye acted up and half my face swelled up. God DAmn! panic wasn't far away. I had to go to the emergency and talk to some doctors. Thankfully everyone was kind and HEAVENLY enough :) Cat was by my side looking after things...it cooled down so you can hardly see it in the pics, but plan B was to have the biggest bang in the galaxy over that eye.

The shoot ended up like this: the other two bands are : Park Hotell and Steso Songs.

4. I had a gig in Linkoeping at the Bully store. A swedish label called Svensson launched their collection up there. The wonderful Nicolas played el-guitar, synt and laid vocals with his amazing voice...I'm trying to get him to put up some music on myspace so ya'll can here.soon soon

5.Then after the gig that Saturday I headed up to Sthlm to see/hear Jim and Marc play and was pleasantly surprised that they where at B-line's Sunday club. These guys where really sweet when I was trying to get a spin or actually more like trying to spin (lol) at their radioshow when I was 18-19.
What I can NOT get is why I didNOT take any pics of Jim, Sam, Hattem, The two german girls and the tall DJ/producer german boy...or for that matter a proper picture of Marc and Moon-Suck...it's must been the music.

(Mark and Moon-Suck)

6. I was at the most "äckliga" [eckliiiga]= awfull toilett the other day...strange hair everywhere, strange light, strange EVERYTHING!!! bah!

7. And my wonderful friend Tafra was in town yesterday. I just love him :) How could anyone not. just look at the pic:

So peps! We are going back on a weekly basis over here. Just stay tuned.

Plissé-weekend. So this weekend

...has been really sweet, I had one of the "plissé" staying in my apartment...somehow the second one tagged along and even the third, but they are friends from way back so it's ok. No1 was in town to get some business done, but we managed to hit the clubs aswell.

So this is me to the left and no1 to the right, out at some club trying to find some music to dance to.

And as I wrote before 1 ended up 2 ended up 3 in my tiny spaceship. You can see number three in the corner with blue n white wifebeater.
I tried to convert them to alienology, but they refused and claimed that picninc-and wineolgy is much better. So we went to the park. (Well to be honest no2 wasn't in the mood at all:)

hm...and saturday night same thing again, only that I went with a friend to the Mega-tivoli in la Copenhagen first.
And sunday I ate brunch:)

Yesterday,monday?tuesday!

Darn...I've flip my stay-awake-rhythm. The only thing is...I'm falling asleep late and getting up early. And in the end that equals toooooo little sleep???

I don't know why body just don't fall asleep. Sometimes is does, hehe, especially if I'm not in the mood to handle a situation, a conflict. BAM! Zzzzzzz

backside...The situation is always the same when I wake up, as if it's just a timeout and as soon as my eyes opens the ring bell goes and it's of for another round.

Yesterday I walked into a streetwear store I haven't been to. I've lived hear in "town á la small" for five years and haven't been to half of them even thou I love clothes.

So, I went in there yesterday. Looked around and ending up buying a hoody in 3XL (Miss A, if you want in on it don't hesitate)...man...it's big...but oversize is the it lol. Anyhow, I bought it from this giant, he was huuuuuge. I have never seen him before but he was the tallest and biggest man I ever seen. There I was, having the same syndrome as when I am in the technical store with the midgets (ref previous blogg), wanting to by the garment made for a also a huuuuuge man. gulp...

But I managed and survived and I'm pleased with it.

hehe

Cartoon easter

This easter been the best,

Been out some, but the thing that has been giving me the big "laugh" factor is the cartoons.

Friday we meet up to play a card game called Uno. It's a children's poker without any change of cards...and if you manage to play away all of them you win (ok..it's not like poker at all)

We where 12 I think and of course EVERYONE knew the rules. And EVERYONE had to inform each other about them.

Ended up in caos! :) luckily we where on our way to the club so anger didn't follow us long.

Saturday me and Cat along with the guys from "Dumheter"(a swedish word that equals sillyness) watched "Aqua teen hungerforce"

and "Squidbillies".

Later that night we (me and Cat again) along with Dannyboy and "Mini" bought burgers, fries and snacks and watched the "Tenacious D"-movie and more "Aqua teen hungerforce"...I think I've seen the episode "handbanana" three times now (lol)

TADA tuesday:)

Hi guys,

Spring, spring spring!!! Le-finally!

I love it !!!feeling the sun, seeing the green grass, hearing the birds (and I promise you it's not because of the blog that I'm writing like this)

I've been up in Stockholm for some weeks trying to get some work done, did managed to get some did.

Also played around with a sisscors and my hair,....NO! I didn't do it Britney-style .

Managed to inflict two speady strips, look like a mixed-female-longhaired-vanilla ice (wow... pretty far away from him when you write it like that...and the do sounds quiet weird lol)

Looks totally ok actually, I'll post a pic when I'm able.

Spring also = sunglasses. Space-o-lishious.

Picture me in these:

hm..no...to much for beeing me even. haha dame edna meets vanilla ice...The one that pulls that of is mad:)

But how fly aren't really awsome four-eyes. I'm totally with it. Just hate the facts of sunglasses. You know...you want dark enough so that no one can see your eyes, but you still want them to look cool and not as if you're a bodygurad...(or maybe it is). And on the other hand there is nothing more spooky than feeling some looking at you and you just can't see their eyes.

And you don't want to look as these amerian idol people that indoors in cloudy winter appears with sunglasses....weird

Anyhow....I'm rambling again.

Later.

This weekends 15 rhyme

Mad thoughts circulating my head, spinning me nauseous,

feel as if I am sleepy-but-awake-studying the roof instead,

Some days are like this, can't sleep, don't want to be feed,

See

my mind loves occupation,

and occupation loves my head.

So

here I lay, with a conference of images in my brain,

Trying pretend as if they don't control my sane,

..hm...

in-sane,

Life got my body screaming,

sleep is just a bad excuse, prefer to be awake daydreaming,

as a cat I can't keep my cool,

listening, looking glazing out my night-window as a fool,

Trapped in my sleepless bed, questioning if I really about sleep do care,

Here I should be, but rather be out there ,

somewhere,

typical me

I'm not an bad-luck person....more a typical person.

Here's an example. I'm kind of a bike-o-maniac.

What is the use of biking if it doesn't swosch you there. Well that and the combination of always being last-minute late can explain some.
When I went to collage (or whatever you attend when you are 17), I had three different bus routes that could get me to school, which was 1 hour from home. And always I would be so morning-slow that I had to bike to a bus stop to catch the third and last one. Or to be correct it also had a stop right outside our house, then it circulated a certain area to head back to the freeway. But I never managed to catch it in time in our neighbourhood.

My parents eventually forbid me to use the bike October throw out March.
Since I was super-jetting there and Sweden in those times use to be icy. So very often I'd call them crying and screaming about how I busted my head, knee or something else that can be busted. That is typical me, I didn't learn the lesson the first time you see no, no...I did this a couple of times till they said: Enough!

commenting this week

There has been a lot of work lately and tooo little sleep,

but it's good, feels as if brighter times are on their way.

Danny-boy, Cat and I went to this enormous -humongous

technical advanced stuff-store. They have parts for space-

ships and much more. I needed...

a vacuumcleaner. Ha! you didn't see that one coming ey?

We spent a great while there, had no idea that I love to look

at technical stuff sooo much.

In the context the dust-sucker was one of the most boring

things they had. But it was as being in Santas workshop with

all his technical cocky wiss-elves that more than gladly would put you right.

I remember to experience this problem, but with different kind

of musicstores, when I was 18-19, no matter if I was going to

buy a mic or a 12".

Always these stores was accessorized with smart-elves.

The dialog was often like this:

I use to suck at finding what ever I was looking for...

still do...maybe it's some location-dyslectic-thing...or pure laziness...

maybe I need glasses...anyhow.

(writer comment: hey! I got glasses...)

I sucked,

had to disguise my pride and ask for help (...ooo) Already

at this stage I felt horrible. I asked, they end up looking at me as if

what I was saying was an outer body experience, they would then say;

- you are sure you're not talking about. blah-blah blah.? or That doesn't

exist!

the I'll say:

-no I'm sure, I'm looking for this.

-Well I've NEVER heard about that....

And then the circus began. The elf asked another elf in a yelled voice and then a third one. In a sec all the 12 elves

was running around nervously shaking their heads. Because this problem of worldly-size couldn't add up.

In the end I learnt. Look it up properly before you enter a wizz-store.

Either you'll be slightly blushed or you cause major chaos to the poor souls.

Yesterday this girl walked by,

I nodded,

she smiled,

realised then after a while,

that we've were once friends, actually

for 5 whole years when I was a child,

Tried to catch her attention,

honestly?

a hopeless act I soon pensioned,

I waved, repeated her name louder

each time,

but she iPod-ignored all my tries,

wanted to take my megaphone out,

make an announcement,

communicate her name with loudest voice out,

Somewhere Casper the ghost I've become,

friendly?

na...felt more mighty dumb,

everyone else in the room reacted to my flamboyant act,

Haha...

..strange how it's easy to get blushed just like that.

Spacecity

Since I do make my living on being a space cadet, Malmoe as a city provides me with perfect opportunity to exercise my talent. I know you might think: -well isn't only to sit down in your space craft and -OF WE GO! I'm sorry but NO, we are not going to do any OF WE GO here. It's a job, a lifestyle that demands serious planning and serious devotion to stay the best of the best.

Why have a I chosen Malmoe ?

- A lot of aliens....good and bad. Aliens from different solar systems but also people that are just straight flip up aliens (other words= coo-coo birds)

-This is the home town of the largest Paris wheal in north Europe. Perfect for a space cadet, you can just imagine. On a nice day you can see all the way to Copenhagen i Denmark.

-One of the oldest, not today active, but the oldest Chocolate factories in Sweden are situated here. Even thou it is shut down half of the building is still filled with that sweet-tasty stuff. I guess when they shut it down they literally said.-Well guys that's it for today and just up and left.

Well why do you need choclate factory??

Do you want me to STARVE or something. Everyone need a choclate factory. If you don't have one in your hometown see to it now.

Saturday's 15 min rhyme

I can be cereal,

and u can be milk,

slowly, deeper'n'deeper I' ll sink.

Soften, dissolve and become one with you.

surreal-cereal, healthy breakfast for two.

You are whipped cream,

I can be strawberries,

U confine our summer taste better than Ben & Jerry's,

No flavour mismatch when we two are around,

indulge us at home, in the park, whenever in appropriate

ground.

I am skateboard,

you are magic vans,

our symbiosis is deeper than a blank wall and a bagpack full of

colourful cans,

You exercise me and I make you run.

flip, turn, 360, ollie, grabs, grind and all that's fun.

15min rhyme of today

strange how some always got to be heard,

makes you roll your eyes and want to throw a pie

of lemon curd,

In their face,

right, there and then in That place,

you don't care who, how or what race.

you just want them to taste,

that bittersweet-yellow-white pie,

be the avenger and aim as if the person's gonna die

Because you been waiting in line longer actually,

a group of kids behind you and after that, that person will be,

twisting, turning and looking at time,

so bored that they are headspining to find,

a person that'll give them a sign,

to agree about:

-well we been waiting in this line

for a centaury of time.

suddenly outbursts,

and starts to commerce.

wobbling and almost tearing down the rack with t-shirts.

that's when you want to reach in your trench,

as a 40th centaury hit man,

pull it out... perfect and prepare,

make a quick turn, Yell DOWN! and suddenly

it'll be there,

right where,

it was meant to, I swear,

HA! between the eyes, and me,

myself and I are set in laugher free,

shaking the town mayor's hand thanking him for

the city key,

...or maybe I just stand here ...

My ordinary dayroutine....and some more
Current mood: relaxed

An ordinary day for me looks like this.

(This is a little explanation to all friends whose calls I don't answer and they think I've gone dark...the rest is just me...writing about nothing)

I wake up. go the gym. go to work, where I practically spend most of my day. Head home to record and write some vocals and try to get some time over to write some rhymes and do other "healthy" things.

I started with these routines not to long ago, because before I was one of the summer-wine-drinking-out-and-still-got-up-to-work-everyday-in-the-week girl...LOL...well it's fun, but 356days a year ! I tell you it's definitely hard to maintain productivity when your voice is constantly sounding as a "over sexual" 99year old dame.

Totally different thing when I was painting pictures all day long for two years, that was part of the lifestyle then....the dream to be difficult preferably mentally ill. Don't get me wrong: the remaining lot are often Brilliant and extremely talented

One tip: .. When you don't understand what an artwork is about and they can't explain it....and try to re-write it all to "heavy" words instead of saying:

-Hey, I don't have a cluuue what I was thinking.

95% of the time it's just a load of crap. My goodness... an example :

I received a kind of award for a series of paintings I did when I was trying to discover where the limit was. I painted a series, the paintings were humongous, 1,5x3m, and pictured people in accidents and corps. They thought that was great! one lady wanted to buy one to hang in here living room.

Seriously...I give up.

Dj Ohsokool is reaching out...

...to you, me and everyone we know. Check it;

'Good Morning,

Every Monday at 8PM for nearly 6 years, myself and MsKia Star have successfully filled a void that's missing on NY radio with Sugatreats. We broadcast music and artists from across the world that commercial radio fail to recognize, or add to their restricted play list. In many instances we have even "world premiered" music and artists on our show, and helped push them to the next level.

In 2009, Sugatreats is still one of the most unique FM radio shows based in New York heard around the world, thanks to the Internet.

Our station WHCR 90.3 FM, will be moving into a new studio shortly. This will allow for some great changes and additions for Sugatreats. With this change, for the very first time I need to ask for your support in the form of donations and contributions.

The fundraising goal for Sugatreats is a very modest one. We want to raise - $1,200

This amount of $1,200 is simply being used to offset operating costs for WHCR.
Printers need ink, computers and broadcast equipment often need repairs due to heavy usage, and as you know even electricity costs.

We know we have regular listeners worldwide. If we can get at least $1 from 1,000 of our listeners, I will put in the additional $200.00, enabling us to reach our fundraising goal!

For those who may not have known, WHCR is a listener supported community radio station. None of your donations, or contributions go into our pockets - even if we manage to surpass our goal.

All donations and contributions are tax deductible
, and again are used to simply help maintain the facilities at WHCR.

Sugatreats is a reason to listen to radio again. Myself and MsKia Star will continue to break new artists, spin new music AND have thought provoking topics, but we need your help!

You can donate/ contribute a tax deductible amount on WHCR's secure online payment page:
http://whcr.org/whcr_pledge.html

Please make sure to indicate which show prompted your contribution: which would be Sugatreats

You can also send a donation / contribution via mail (check or money order, NO cash) to the following address:
